Privacy policy

This policy explains how The Curve Consulting Services Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data through bitmap.app. It covers this website only. The Bitmap product itself is operated under the terms of service a customer accepts when they sign up, and personal data inside a customer's Bitmap account is processed under those terms.

What we collect, and why

When you contact us or request the datasheet

The forms on this site ask for your name, work email address, company, job title, phone number and, on the enquiry form, your message. We use those details to answer you, to send you the datasheet where you asked for it, and to follow up about Bitmap. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry about our product, and we keep the record for as long as the relationship is live plus two years.

We do not sell your details, we do not share them with anyone outside the suppliers named below, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

When you browse the site

Our hosting produces standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and it runs only if you accept it in the banner. Declining leaves the site fully functional.

Spam protection

Both forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person. Cloudflare receives technical information about the request in order to make that check.

Who processes data for us

• Mailgun — sends the emails this site produces.

• Cloudflare — the Turnstile check on the two forms.

• Google Analytics — usage analytics, only with your consent.

• Amazon Web Services — hosting and file storage.

Each is bound by a data processing agreement and may only act on our instructions.

Where data is held

We hold personal data in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where a supplier transfers data outside that area, the transfer relies on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Write to privacy@thecurve.io and we will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The site sets a cookie to remember your analytics choice, and Rails sets a session cookie that the forms need in order to work. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, and only after you accept. There are no advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. A material change will be announced on this page.
